Rachel's 25th Birthday in Red River, NM

We celebrated Rachel's 25th Birthday in Red River. We ate at Timbers Steakhouse, a great place. Here is a picture of some of the group at the steakhouse, this picture had Rachel in it. Sorry if you didn't make the picture because you were on the other end of the table!

Heath, Meredith, Lee K., Rachel and Abi all rented this bicycle to tour the "city" one afternoon. Thank goodness for Abi, she kept this bicycle on the road.

Lee K. and Rachel at one of the lakes we found on our trail riding.

Rachel is only a few weeks from having her Masters Degree and moving to Lubbock Texas to start on her Doctorate. Way to go Rachel.

Happy 25th Rachel.

Love you

Molly's Wedding Shower

"Molly Dolly" is getting married. I can't believe she is old enough to get married. Molly and Jonathan met in Sunday School. He was stationed here in Clovis at Cannon Air Force Base and he chose to attend our church. Molly was just graduating from High School and headed to nursing school when she met Jonathan that summer. Jonathan is now stationed in Alaska and Molly is in nursing school at South Plains College.
Susie Bender hosted the Bridal Shower at her home along with several other friends of the family.

Molly Bly Price, named for both her grandmothers, Molly Price and Bly Howard - Molly Bly Price, my only niece on the Howard side of the family.

Molly, Betty Rae Snipes(her aunt), and Anna Marie the mom.

Molly asked me to take a picture of the cookie plate because this is her wedding colors and they look just like a "Molly' cookie would look.
The Bride and three of her Bridesmaids.
Carli, Holly, Molly and Meredith. Keely couldn't be here for this wedding shower.

Taya Brooke

It has been a year since God decided he wanted Taya to join him for eternity. How incredibly thankful am I that Taya knew him as her personal saviour, and friend, and when she left this earth, she joined the greatest man to ever live.

How could we have ever known that the surgery last July would take her from us here on earth? No one was ready for this to happen. Taya, you were too young, so full of life, so full of laughter, plans and parties that had not yet happened.

There were times you stood alone in your convictions. That never bothered you, you loved the Lord and you knew where you stood.

However, you were so fortunate to be surrounded by many friends that also had those convictions and loved you very much.

You were so very unique. You lived life with a passion: a passion for everything you did. When you were serious, your were passionately serious, when you were playing, you were passionately playful, it didn't matter the mood or the emotion, it was done with as much passion as you could muster.

Today your friends all wore pink in remembrance of you. And there will never be a time that we look at a Gerber Daisy without thinking of you and your love for life.

These friends along with your family( and other friends that I don't have pictures of), will always think of you when they gather for weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations.
Taya, your exit was so painful, but your life was such a joy. I could spend the evening typing "Taya" stories. Most of them begin with laughter and end with laughter.
What a joy Taya Brooke Leeder was to all who knew her.
You are missed by all.

Editing this Blog

I would just like to post a note for all of my friends and family that read this blog. I know you read this and wonder why I leave so much space between pictures or why I broke a word up in such a ridiculous manner. It is beyond my power, I lay it out just like I want it to look and then push the "publish" button. That is when the fun begins.

I never know with this blog exactly how the "view" will really be. It moves pictures, text, spaces....

I am sorry I am hoping one day to figure out why it does not stay looking like my draft copy.

Brett and Crissy's Wedding

Crissy and Brett were married in Abilene, Texas on Saturday evening at Southpark Baptist Church and the reception was held at the T & P Reception Hall in Abilene.

This picture was drawn by Brett, an artist, and on display at the reception. A wonderful job by Brett, so I wanted to showcase it on their wedding post.

Their wedding colors were Turquoise and Brown. Here is a picture of the Bride and Groom at their reception.

Here we have the "Clovis Clan". Amber had made a commitment two years ago that she was unable to cancel, so she is not in the picture and we all know that Taya was in Heaven dancing with the angels in honor of Crissy and Brett's wedding.

A clan wedding would not be complete without a trip down memory lane to Elementary days and an old time favorite of theirs, "Ice, Ice, Baby" by Vanilla Ice. Here they are performing their special choreographed version one more time. A Clan tradition.

Here is Renee Thomas, the mother of the bride, visiting with the guest at the reception. Isn't that a beautiful dress she is wearing?

The Grooms cake was chocolate. Isn't it pretty?

A white cake for the Bride's cake. What a gorgeous cake.
