10-10-07 at the Rutherford's

Wednesday 10-10-07? I have no idea how this really happened. We can no longer get everyone together for Christmas and we all ended up in Clovis, NM on 10-10-07?

Here is how it happened:

Lee K. called and said he had decided to come to Clovis on Wednesday, his day off. He called back and stated that Rachel and Abi would like to come up from Lubbock and meet him in Clovis.

I called my mom and told that Lee K. would be coming from Amarillo and Rachel and Abi from Lubbock, and invited her to eat dinner with us on Wednesday. I then called Bly and L.K. and they said they would also join us. Bly called back and said that Molly was also coming to town that day from Lubbock and that Larry, Anna and Molly would be joining us for dinner.

Meredith and I discussed grilling burgers at their home so we could all just be casual and visit more with each other than we would be able to in a restaurant. Here is a picture of Heath and Meredith on their patio grilling for all of the Howard family and my mom, Marjorie.

L.K. and Grubb discussing the days work.
Grubb is still in his work clothes, he had just driven in from working on a well.

Can you tell that Rachel had not seen Lee K. for awhile? Here is Lee K. telling his cousin, Molly Bly some story. Molly is in nursing school in Lubbock. How was she able to be home in the middle of the week?

The Rutherford hacienda. Meredith has always loved color and studying at the University of Guadalajara definitely influenced her color choices. I love this kitchen it looks just like Meredith.

Abi is in the first grade and she is learning to read. She is reading to Papa, Grandmother, Molly, her mom Rachel, and Lee K.

Another picture of Abi reading to the family.

Here it is October and Merediths flowers are still really pretty.
