The Garrett Cabin

Many of you guys remember Brian and Kelli Garrett. I worked for Brian at State Farm and Kelli played handbells with some of you at Central Baptist. They have two boys, Mitch and Colton.

They live in Phoenix and Brian called tonight to check on us after he heard about the tornado. He told me about the cabin he and Kelli purchased a couple of years ago in Montana. It is absolutely beautiful. It looks so serene and peaceful.

Check out www.coldcreekcabin.com next time you are on the internet.

She's In!!! Yes, Rachel was accepted.

Rachel received her letter of acceptance into the Texas Tech Doctoral program. She was also offered a job at 20 hours a week working for Tech in her program.

We are more than excited for her. From the day we met Rachel in 2005, she has talked about getting her Doctorate. She applied to Tech and Tech only because this is the program she was wanting to participate in, and she was accepted.

Rachel, I know the picture has Lee K and Abi with you but I am in a hurry and that is the first picture I found. I will edit this post later and put a picture of just you.

Pray for Rachel and Abi as they will be moving to Lubbock this summer and starting a new beginning.

Congratulations Rachel

Love Sandy

It's Here

I doubt there is anyone that doesn't realize we are now being surrounded by

"MARCH MADNESS"

Suggestion #1: obtain a bracket and fill it out, so you will be agitated along with the other million that chose the wrong team to win "that game". You can discuss all the mistakes the key players and coaches made(don't leave out the referees) and be able to discuss what went wrong with "the game". This will raise your blood pressure but definitely gives you something to do besides prepare the lawn for spring.

Suggestion #2: Don't bother with a bracket. You will then be able to say "yeah, that was the team I was going to choose to win that game", "I knew they would win", "Oh man, I should have filled out one of those brackets, I would have won a million, I guessed all the correct teams!".

Girls this is probably one of the best diversions man has ever created to "spring cleaning", "spring lawn preparation", etc... It definitely works.
